Tariffs & Import Fees

When you place an order with The Spanglish Society, know this: international shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, or other charges imposed by your country. These are determined by local governments, and they are the responsibility of the recipient.

We craft and ship every piece with care, but once it leaves our doors, it enters the hands of customs and postal systems beyond our control.

What this means for you:

  • The price you pay at checkout does not include tariffs or import fees.

  • Customs officers in your country may charge additional amounts upon delivery.

  • Processing times may be extended depending on inspections by local authorities.

Stay prepared:

  • Check your country’s import rules before placing your order.

  • Understand that duties vary by item type, quantity, and declared value.

  • These fees are beyond the control of The Spanglish Society.

By continuing with your order, you acknowledge that all import-related charges are your responsibility

Customs Clearance & Mandatory Tax IDs (e.g., Brazil, Mexico)

For certain countries, local customs authorities require the recipient's personal Tax ID (such as a CPF/CNPJ in Brazil or an RFC in Mexico) to clear imported goods. It is the customer's sole responsibility to monitor their tracking and provide any necessary documentation, Tax IDs, or import duties requested by their local customs agency.

Failure to provide this information or pay the required import fees will result in the package being rejected by customs and "Returned to Sender." Because every item at The Spanglish Society is made-to-order specifically for you, we do not offer refunds for orders returned due to unpaid duties, ignored customs notifications, or missing Tax IDs. If your package is returned for these reasons, we will gladly reship it to you, but the customer will be responsible for covering the new shipping label costs.
